There are three types of schools participating in Student Formulas. Domestic university, overseas university, vocational school. As you can see from the graph on the right, domestic universities account for over 60%. The Formula SAE Japan Convention has been attracting attention from overseas each year, and now more foreign universities are participating than vocational schools.

The big difference between university and vocational school teams is in the production period before the tournament. Many vocational schools produce machines in a year. You have to learn the rules of the tournament in a short period of one year, acquire the sponsor, learn the knowledge to design, and make the machine. It is very difficult to pass the student formula's rigorous screening.
We, Honda Technical College Kanto, are the only team that is active as a club in vocational schools among many participating schools. Other vocational schools offer student formulas as part of their classes. As we work as class, we can not but participate regardless of whether we like formula or hate. However, we are a team that wants to do formulary. I am confident that my motivation and seriousness are second to none.
